Hi everyone!!! The past couple of weeks I’ve really spent nesting and being in mommy mode getting more organized and ready to add a new baby to the mix. Honestly, I have completely been hibernating and taking care of so many things BTS!
I know I’ve experienced these same feelings—and they always warn you that the last few weeks will be your “nesting time”—towards the end of pregnancy. I’m preparing my mind, body, soul, AND home for a new baby! It’s still crazy to think that we’re about to have another kid here—ha.
But life doesn’t stop—here’s what the family and I have been up to lately in between all that… and a little peak into my camera roll lately.
We recently took the girls to a Houston Rockets game, where we sat court side for their first NBA game! They know this is one of mommy and daddy’s favorite date nights, but this time they got to join us! They had so much fun, loved every moment of it, and were amazed the whole time—it truly was a great experience. Now, of course, they want to go back again!
Mackenzie was on her spring break from school, so we got to spend the week with her and get some really great quality time. To make the most of it, we took the kids to this place called Candytopia. If you’re in Houston you’ve probably heard of it, and if you ever visit Houston, you should definitely check it out. It’s basically a mini candy museum, which is obviously right up their ally, with unlimited candy and lots of cool photo ops.
We also went back to Tampa for a quick trip to celebrate Mike’s teammate Cam as he married his now wife, Brooke—who was such a stunning bride. Now only was the wedding absolutely beautiful, but we always love to see Mike’s teammates, current and past with their significant others. We wish nothing but love and happiness for the new Mr. and Mrs. Brate!
Of course were getting lots of play time and snuggles in, as always.
One rainy day Ariah insisted we have a spa day which was super cute. Amari is just as busy as ever, always on the move or right up under me—there’s no in between, ha. He is such a mamas boy!!
He still refuses to believe there’s a baby in my belly… so this should be interesting when the baby gets here, ha.
The countdown is on with less than two months to go!!
I’m also thinking about doing more of these little diary posts or “life lately” to give you guys more insight because I know I don’t post daily… or sometimes even weekly. This may be an easier way to get everything out there at once, so definitely let me know if you’re into it!!!
